A ZenMaid alternative at $9 flat: the prices, dated
ZenMaid is built only for maid services and has been at it for years. The comparison below is arithmetic, not opinion: their published prices and terms beside ours, for a real month of cleaning, whatever the size of your team.
Prices, caps and terms as published on 23 October 2026. Their pages may have changed since; the links below let you re-check everything.
A real month, priced
A working cleaner does sixty-odd visits a month. ZenMaid's $19 Starter caps at 40 appointments a month, so a real business starts at the $39 tier — and every cleaner on the account is charged on top: $4 a month each on Starter, $14 on Pro, $24 on Pro Max.
| ZenMaid | TendMate | |
|---|---|---|
| The software | $19 — capped at 40 appointments a month | $9 a month, flat |
| A month of 60 cleanings | $39 — the tier that lifts the cap | Included |
| A second pair of hands | +$14 a month per cleaner on Pro ($4 on Starter, $24 on Pro Max) | Included — four helpers, then $1 a month each |
| Exporting your own data | Pro Max only, at $49 | One click, on the only plan there is |
An owner and one cleaner on Pro pay $53 a month there, and $9 here. With four cleaners it is $95 there, and still $9 here.
Their own pages, dated
Nothing below is our opinion. Every line was read from the linked page on the date above, and you should re-check before deciding.
- Every cleaner, contractor and office manager on the account is billed per month on top of the plan — $4 on Starter, $14 on Pro, $24 on Pro Max; only the owner is included — their own article on what ZenMaid costs. ZenMaid help: how much does ZenMaid cost
- "CSV exports are available on the Pro Max plan." On Starter and Pro the export dialog opens and tells you your plan does not include it — their own help page on exports. ZenMaid help: how to run exports
- A valid credit card is required for every account, the trial bills automatically on day 14, and billing is non-refundable — their Terms of Service, their words. ZenMaid Terms of Service
- The same terms reserve "the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time", with no published eligibility criteria. ZenMaid Terms of Service
- On Capterra, where reviews are solicited, ZenMaid scores 4.7. On Trustpilot, where they are not, it scores 2.1. Both numbers are public; read both before trusting either. Trustpilot
What ZenMaid has today that we have not built yet
An honest page names both columns. Today, theirs holds:
- Automated appointment reminders texted and emailed to your clients.
- An online booking form your website can embed.
- Years of maid-service-only focus, and a large community around it.
Every one of those is on the table. Features here get built in the order customers ask, at no extra charge unless something needs a paid external service, and a simple message is how the roadmap gets set — but this page will not pretend they are built today.
The trial is the difference in miniature
ZenMaid's trial takes your card on day one and bills it on day 14 unless you cancel; billing is non-refundable by their terms.
TendMate's trial is a month, takes no card, and cancelling is a button in the app — not a conversation. If you are on ZenMaid today: on Pro Max, Contacts, then Actions, then Export data gives you your contacts and appointments by email. On Starter or Pro the export is refused, so send us screenshots of your client list and of one week of your schedule instead. Either way we bring your clients, schedule and history across for you, before you log in.
1 month free. No card.
