A Housecall Pro alternative at $9 flat, with no per-helper fee

Housecall Pro is a big platform for big home-service operations. For a cleaning business the arithmetic turns stark the moment a second person joins, and the public record on billing and cancellation deserves a look before you hand over a card.

Prices, caps and terms as published on 23 October 2026. Their pages may have changed since; the links below let you re-check everything.

A real month, priced

Basic is $59 a month paid annually — $79 month to month — for one user, and it has no price for a second one. The first helper means the Essentials tier: $149 a month paid annually, $189 month to month, five seats. A per-user price appears only on Max, at $299 a month and $35 a user.

Housecall Pro and TendMate, for the same month

An owner and a helper pay $149 a month there, and $9 here. That is not a discount; it is a different idea of who the software is for.

What Housecall Pro has today that we have not built yet

An honest page names both columns. Today, theirs holds:

  • Card payments, consumer financing and invoicing with payment collection built in.
  • Marketing tools — postcards, email campaigns, review management.
  • Dispatching, GPS tracking and job costing for fleets.

A fleet that dispatches may need all of that today. A cleaning business, whatever the size of its team, needs the schedule, the clients, the team and the money — and everything else is on the table: features here get built in the order customers ask, and a simple message is how the roadmap gets set.

The trial is the difference in miniature

Housecall Pro's trial is 14 days without a card. Cancelling a paid plan later is where the BBB record above is worth reading first.

TendMate's trial is a month with no card, and cancelling is a button in the app. If you are on Housecall Pro today: Customers, then Actions, then Export sends you your customer list by email, and the same under Jobs sends your job history. Send both to us and we bring your clients, schedule and history across for you, before you log in.
